Is there a way to tell the "age" of a western saddle?

I think if I were you, I would call the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum (Used to be the Cowboy Hall of Fame) in Oklahoma City, and ask to speak to the curator. He or she might ask you to email detailed photos of your saddles, and if they can't identify them, they would probably know who could, maybe even closer to where you live. The phone number is (405) 478-2250, and you can also google them for online information. I think you'll have better luck speaking to a real person to start with though.
