What kind of killer would be good for an indy horror flick?

im 17 and i want to make films when im older and i always have, i got a video camera foir my birthday (last month) and i want to make a shoprt horror movie because those are suppoed to give you a feel of how they work and lets face it there normally not that complex...but what would be a good kind of killer? like a person who runs around with a knife stabbing people?...im so sick of that any ideas?
