My boyfriend is a 30 year old virgin?

We first started off as really good friends-- we would rock climb, go trail running a lot, and do a lot of extreme sports together. He is very educated and knows what he wants, has a Masters degree and a great job, yet when we started to date, I found out that he only dated one other girl other than me, and they only dated for three weeks. He is very religious, so obviously, he is a virgin, let alone, he has probably never even kissed anyone yet. This has me feeling really bad, because I am 22, and I admit that I have been promiscuous at times. But, I think this guy might be the one, and I will definitely wait for him. Do I bring this up sometime? And, why might he still be a virgin? He is a really great guy.
