Can anyone explain to me (in a retarded kind of way) about courts?

You have used the word "retarded" twice. This is offensive to some and so is against the rules here. Do not be surprised if you get reported for this. Is there any way you can edit out those 2 words so this doesn't happen? The petitioner is the person who took the case to court. The respondent is the person they wanted to go to court against.
