PSATS aren't required. However, they can prepare you for the SAT, which is crucial to get into college. The PSAT is like a mini SAT. Also, good scores can get you scholarships and awards. Colleges won't see your scores though. Don't study for it; you'll see what you need to work on for the SAT.
