Why are more young girls becoming bullies?

Young girls are not becoming bullies - that's not what the article says. Girls have always been bullies, (traditional "hidden" and "indirect" aggression in the form of rumor spreading and/or social exclusion) they are simply showing different behaviors. Why? A million reasons. Television. More artificial hormones in foods like milk and meat. Different society standards. Etc, etc, etc.
