How to calculate (delta)H?

Since we are figuring out the heat of reaction based on the temperature increase of the water, we first need to know how much water we have. We added 100mL of HCL solution to 100mL of NH4 solution, so we have 200mL of water (.2L). Since 1mL of water is about 1 gram of water, we know we have 200 grams of water. We also know the heat capacity of water is 4.18J per gram per degree celcius, meaning it takes 4.18 joules to raise the temperature of one gram of water one degree C. Since our 200 grams of water was raised by a temperature of 2.34 degrees C, we just multiply 200g x 4.18 J/gC x 2.34 C to get our total number of J (see how the units cancel and we are left with just joules, or Delta H). However, we also must take into account the heat capacity of the calorimeter, whose temperature was also raised 2.34 degrees. It takes 480J to raise the calorimeter one degree, so multiple 480J x 2.34 to get the joules of heat needed to raise the calorimeter temperature. Now add the two values (joules required to raise the water's temperature and joules to raise the calorimeters temperature) and that is your overall delta H for this reaction. However, it's asking for the delta H per MOLE of reaction. Since we only have .2 moles of each substance (and thus .2 moles of reaction overall), we must multiple our answer by 5 to get the delta H for one mole of reaction. So just add up the joules and multiply by 5 and you're good. I would ask your professor what to do, though, when it's a reaction where it's something like 2A + 3B = 2C, since that is technically one mole of reaction but we can obviously see that we have 2 moles of A and 3 moles of B to equal one mole of reaction, and that takes more time to explain.

My dog has been acting out for the past few months?

Dogs like consistency. If you have been moving a lot, and there's a new baby on the way, the dog hasn't been getting it. With all you have to do, also, you have probably been giving the dog short shrift without realizing it, and she's noticing. I think you're going to have to go back a bit and crate her when you can't watch her, start some daily training sessions(dog gets your undivided attention and reinforcement of its earlier training), and give the dog more exercise. Training a dog is not something that you finish and that's it. It's continuous, for life. Find ways to reinforce her training every single day, which means perhaps that the dog has to sit and wait while you bathe your son. Gives the dog a job to do which alleviates all kinds of problems. And some dogs, often around the age of two or so, become teenagers and start to act up a bit. Maybe yours is having a late adolescence.

Ok Im 17, just done with my Junior year of high school, I don't play sports,not in to school related things, but have been in Civil Air Patrol(a cadet program outside of school) for 3 years now, I play airsoft(the reenacting kind not the low grader kind), and Ive always want to be a paratrooper in the army since I saw Band of Brothers when I was 13. Ive been trying to do the DEP program for the army, for the last week(not in yet), ive taken an Asvab scored a 74 on it. I looked at jobs Im qualified for and I want 11b, but my parents don't want me being an 11b they want me behind a desk somewhere, and my recruiter starts saying how I probably can't handle 11b because I don't play sports, and how he doesn't want to make someone else Infantry because he's lost recruits in the past. He convinced my parents not to let me be an 11b and told me if I want to be 11b I should get a different recruiter, I want to get a different recruiter now but my parents say no and will ground me if I do(remember still 17). What should I do, I may not have much arm muscle but I have leg muscle from skateboarding,CAP, and airsoft reenacting(we do long Marches like the real military).

CAD solid modeling prices?

I was hired to make a 3D model using AutoCAD (there will be no rendering, I will be given the object and its measurements). As for AP, with that line, the possibility of Farve, and his ability to create space, I gotta lean towards him. I got this girl pregnant about 5-6 weeks ago; first she wanted to have the kid and I was trying to get her to have an abortion because I was going to drop out of high school to go on tour with my band and I didn't want to spend any of the band money on her kid. Well after they sold my car I got my friend to load all my gear in his truck and took it to this guy I know's house for storage. My band mates and I haven't gone to school for the past couple of days because we are going on tour in 2 weeks. i was talking on the phone with my friend saying how awesome its gong to be without school and parents and riding around in my guitarists van drinking and playing shows and my sister over heard and got pissed off and said that she doesnt have a brother and that i'm a monster for not providing for the kid and stormed off and locked her door. HELP ME so she understands my way. Mandy won't have the abortion because of "religous' reasons so i'm not going to worry about it i don't want it it was just a one night stand with a groupie after a shwo. and if i stick around thats affecting 4 other people because my band cant go on tour and they've already dropped out of school. My not 18 and all the stuff i've read says that my parents will pay child support and they both have really awesome jobs and make lots of money so it wont hurt that they have to pay it for a few years until it doesnt' matter that i have to pay a cuple hundred bucks a month when my band has a cd and going on bigger tours. my sister and are tight i want her to get why i'm doing this.

i have a 2 gallon fish bowl with a bamboo shoot(live) and one artificial plant in it and some pebbles.i bought a goldfish for it.it was fine for like 4 days but then i changed water and next morning the fish had died.This was probably due to changing water soon but then i read that once a week changing 100% water is fine.I bought again one goldfish and it survuved for 3 weeks with a complete water change once a week for two weeks but then this weekend i changed water and after 30 minutes it was floating on top.I dnt know what i am doing wrong since the water becmes totally murky when i change it so think it warrants a 100% change.I even put a drop of dechlorinator.Please suggest what i am doing wrong since its really heartbreaking that they die again n again

How can I help my friend through the loss of her cat?

My best friend who is 17 (I'm 19) had her cat, Jess, since she was 6 months old. I kind of know how she feels as, when i was her age, my cat that I'd had my whole life too was put to sleep, however I was the one who made the decision to have her put down, I have lots of photos and I got to say goodbye. I know the usual "She had a good life", "She knew you loved her", "she's not in pain anymore", but what else can I do? I've never seen her this upset before and I really want to help her through it as I know the loss of a pet is devastating, especially when you've had that pet your whole life and you never get to say goodbye. How do Japanese students learn about their homeroom cl?

In Japan from what I've seen, they just post it on a board like you said and you just find the clroom. The clrooms are all labeled so you'll be able to find it easily. They don't bother calling out the names in an embly because it's too time consuming when you can just look on the board. Everyone takes the same cles so you don't need to ask for a schedule. Unlike in America where students move from cl to class, Japanese students stay in the same classroom all day and take the same courses as their peers. If they want to do something like art, music, dance, etc. it'll be an after school club instead of a course. They put more emphasis on examination scores rather than what courses you take.

What happens when you co-sign for a car and your friend can't make payments?

I know that as a co-signer i am responsible for the car to be paid, but who would own the car if she pays down payment and 1 month and i have pay the last two month cause she can't keep up with it. Allergies or chiari malformation?

A little background to start off, I suppose lol- I was dignaosed with Chiari malformation about 2 years ago and it was agreed that my symptom were not severe enough to demand surgery. Lately I have been having trouble with a really congested nose that hardly has any discharge (when it does, the discharge is a thick yellow), chronic post nasal drip, which leads me to have consistent sore throats, and I have a near constant headache, although the pressure is located more in the front of my face, around my nose and forehead, than in the back. I was just wondering if it is more likely that these symtpoms are related to my chiari malformation or allergies, any insight would be greatly appreciated :(

PC or CD problem? My CD's wont play?

I have an Advent 3112 PC and about 4 months ago I found my CD's wont play on it anymore, the drive lights up and makes noise but it just stops afterwards, I've also tried on a Toshiba laptop and again nothing, I also tried having the songs put on a USB but the songs wont go on because they are not the right format, the CD's are new (Green Day and Paramore), is it them or the PC? Help me i dont know whats going on?

So I am 18 and he is 20. We had a baby back in August and that improved our relationship a whole lot because we matured and life was not about us anymore. But as time goes on and we get busier and busier (we both had jobs and are full-time students). it seems that we are not interested in one another anymore or maybe it is just that we do not have time.
